The Gilchrist County Clerk of Courts now conducts all tax deed auctions online. Bidders may register to view and bid on tax deeds currently scheduled for sale. All information on upcoming sales including bidder requirements, auction rules, and answers to frequently asked questions about bidding online may be found at the online auction site. The deposit due on a winning bid is $200 or 5% of the bid, whichever is greater.
To obtain redemption information for a property scheduled to be sold at auction, please contact our office by calling 352-463-3170 with the tax deed number.
Any unclaimed overbid proceeds from a Tax Deed sale will be held for one year by the Gilchrist County Clerk of Courts and then will be forwarded to the State of Florida as unclaimed property.
